Ida is the daughter of a renowned archaeologist, explorer and single father. Ida’s classroom is the desert, the high seas and the starry skies! Yet, perhaps there is one thing more valuable than all the treasures in Ecba: friends!
The Many Adventures of Ida Blaker was created as part of the 2017 Banksia Project mentorship program, which is sponsored by Supanova Pop Culture Convention. The story is a spin-off comic from the world of our comic series Heart of Millyera, a world that is rich, vibrant and full of amazing destinations which we wanted to explore.
The Many Adventures of Ida Blaker is a stand-alone adventure story following the childhood of a young girl, as she travels the globe with her father.
This young girl will eventually grow up to be the lead character in Heart of Millyera. In this ongoing webcomic, Ida is now a young geology student who finds an unusual object at the bottom of a lake and she unwittingly becomes guardian to Millyera – a childlike spirit as old as the universe.
The Many Adventures of Ida Blaker has been completed, and is ready to print. Yet we need your help with that part! By backing this project, you will help us cover the costs we need to print the A5 8-page full colour comic with a spiffy laminate cover, and in return, you will receive a signed copy delivered straight to your door!
The Many Adventures of Ida Blaker is the third printed comic we have Kickstarted! We previously released our comic Heart of Millyera in 2016 and Great Beasts in 2017, thanks to Kickstarter and our fans! We continue to publish Heart of Millyera as a web-comic online.
